Make Tokyo airport welcoming everyone

Airport is one of the place even the young and healthy become nervous to walkabout. Even more so for others.  The trial aim to provide means of personal mobility for passengers who is not being confident of walking.  Let’s see how it works in the busy airport!

 

  • When: Aug 8th, 2017 – Mar 31st, 2018
  • Where: Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), International  / Domestic Terminal
  • What:
    • WHILL NEXT   made by WHILL Inc. and Panasonic
    • Interaction: control by smartphone app  (purpose base, not steering?)
    • Function: Autonomous guiding, obstacle detection, caravan traveling
  • Eligibility: passengers at the terminal
